Executive Director, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
The merged board seeks a courageous leader and enthusiastic fundraiser who can assemble the many combined strengths of NHLT-NHF to launch a new phase of development and growth. This is a tremendous opportunity for an innovative nonprofit leader to grow an organization that is working at the intersection of urban agriculture, public health, food access, participatory community development, environmental education and stewardship, and youth development. The successful candidate will be passionate about these expressions of the mission, will be able to guide the organization in implementing practices that ensure racial and economic equity, and will help transition into an organization that is primarily led by the communities it serves. She/he/they will have significant experience and success in raising funds from diverse sources and advancing the strategic direction and operations of a not-for-profit organization with multiple, interlocking program areas.
Community Gardens Manager, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
The New Haven Land Trust seeks a Community Garden Manager to manage the Land Trust’s Community Garden Program. We are seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, knowledge of gardening and a passion for community and environment, who can both handle the logistical challenges of managing the fifty community gardens operated by the Land Trust and maintain positive relationships with community members from all around New Haven.

Youth Program Educator, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
The Youth Program Educator will develop and lead the Youth Farm-Based Wellness Program on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings in the Fair Haven and Hill neighborhoods of New Haven, Connecticut. The Youth Program Educator is responsible for creating and delivering weekly curriculum for a group of children and youth. The Youth Program Educator will work directly with the Wellness Programs Manager, Assistant Youth Program Educator, Farm Manager, program staff, and volunteers.
Assistant Youth Program Educator, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust

Arts Event Coordinator Apprentice, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
We are looking for an intern to coordinate a series of arts and cultural events at community gardens, farms, and nature preserves around the city. Past events have included live music, mural painting, outdoor movie-screenings, cooking demos, arts and crafts, and more. We are looking for two creative and independent people to schedule and put on at least 17 events (1 event per week) in collaboration with community garden coordinators and our staff. The interns would also be welcome to lead one or more of the workshops based on their own artistic interests and talents.

Wellness Program Assistant Internship, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
We are looking for a Wellness Program Assistant intern that will serve as
an integral part of our Farm-Based Wellness Program , working directly with the Wellness Programs Manager to ensure the highest level of program delivery. Our Wellness Program Assistant intern will be exposed to many facets of program development, nutrition and cooking education, public health research, urban agriculture, teaching, and community outreach.
Community Garden Internship, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
New Haven Farms/New Haven Land Trust is seeking interns to work in its community gardens over the summer. General responsibilities include assisting the Community Garden Manager in undertaking community outreach efforts, spearheading building projects, and planning and coordinating educational and volunteer events in the gardens. The intern will also work with the Community Garden Manager and the Garden Education Coordinator to manage the Growing Entrepreneurs Program–a program that teaches New Haven high school students entrepreneurial skills within the context of gardening and the food system. There will also be the opportunity to develop other projects based on the individual’s interests and the needs of the organization.
Growing Entrepreneurs Program Assistant Internship, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
We are looking for two interns to work on development and implementation of our Growing Entrepreneurs program. The Growing Entrepreneurs year-round jobs program employs high school students at New Haven Farms/New Haven Land Trust where they improve their professional skills, learn about environmental issues, gain experience in carpentry and agriculture, and pilot small businesses designed to help their community and environment.
Preserves Outreach and Education Internship, New Haven Farms-New Haven Land Trust
The New Haven Land Trust is seeking interns to work in its nature preserves over the summer. General responsibilities include planning educational and volunteer events in the preserves, working to maintain and improve the infrastructure in the nature preserves, engaging in community outreach through social media and other means, as well as working on administrative projects related to the preserves. There will also be an opportunity to develop other projects based on the individual’s interests and the needs of the Land Trust.
