Private Garden

Coordinator Margaret Davis, was able to report that the garden has been a big success this year. This garden is a real draw for the housing complex. The gate is always open and residents of the housing complex use the area to relax and picnic. Though only 7 residents currently garden the area, its presence fosters community events and gets residents working and socializing together. Coordinator reported that all participants in the program seem to get along very well and work well toward making the garden a success.

Coordinator Preston Fox reported that the garden had a very good year. The apartment complex has about 25 residents in all, and almost half of them participate in the garden in some fashion. The garden area has brick grill that is used on a regular basis for community gets togethers. In addition to vegetables, the garden is also nicely adorned with red, white, and lavender impatiens.

• Peppers
• Cucumbers
• Tomatoes
• Assorted Greens
