Sailing Program

Sailing Program: Ages 9-12

Campers in the Sailign Program spend half their day exploring the diverse habitats of the Long Island Sound from land, and the other half of the day on the water learning the fundamentals of sailing!  Campers will learn how to sail and skipper a small sailboat, learn detailed boat handling maneuvers, knots, boat safety, and how to work well and communicate as a team.  Campers will develop courage, focus, and tenacity while adventuring on the protected waters of the New Haven Harbor, while also engaging in science-based curriculum, crafts, and exploring the coastal habitats.

Kids can sign up for multiple sessions! We recommend 2+ weeks of the Sailing Program to get practice and gain confidence on the water.
